"Pound for pound, core strength king that's an adept receiving RB and can find his way out of tight spaces but lacks pure speed and explosiveness."
Strengths:
Pint sized, pound for pound core strength king with elusiveness and receiving skills. Pass pro killer that consistently rocks targets and covers for the QB. Adept pass receiver that runs good routes out of the backfield or the slot and can separate.
Elusive in tight spaces with good contact balance. Solid vision and runs to daylight. Respected team captain and comes from a football family.
Witness 5'9 195 lb Williams just absolutely destroy the 6'2 250 lb Leo Chenal in this pass pro. /end.
Weaknesses:
Lacks juice and explosiveness and doesn't regularly exploit open lanes. Scat back sized. Ball security hasn't been a strength.
Overall:
Williams is a prototype receiving pro RB. He's been a staple in the Irish's passing attack for two seasons and is a lights out pass protector with a highlight reel of punishing take ons.
He's got reliable hands and is an adept route runner out of the backfield with lateral and cod quickness. What's lacking is just pure speed and explosiveness. He can work his way out of tight spaces but he's not running away from anyone or firing up through the hole.
