"Undersized, heavy handed, power edge with good lateral agility and bend. But that lack of length and explosion can lead to re-accommodations and he's not running anyone down"
Sawed off, heavy handed, power edge with good lateral agility and bend. Attacks with his hands, drops his hips and gets under and around blockers. Uses lateral ability as an effective change up.
Reads and anticipates well. Not fast but has decent maneuverability and is comfortable in the open field and standing up. Forever motor. A beast of a work week grinder.
Lacks an explosive get off. Speed challenged and struggles to range beyond the box. Overextends and ends up on the ground a lot. Lacks sand and can get bumped around if you get under him.
Willekes is a smart, try hard guy with above grade hand strength and flexibility. He can be brutal with his hand work and he diagnoses well. He's a slow guy but not a poor athlete. He's comfortable in space and can jump cut effectively at the point of attack.
His lack of length and explosion can lead to stalemates or re-accommodations by technically sound blockers though and he's not running anyone down. That said, I think he's a good bet to outperform his draft position.
