Kenneth Walker Scouting Report

"Hits the gas better than any RB in this class. Isn't a pretty, loose hipped runner but he's a dialed up, rare talent that can carry an offense for stretches."

Strengths:

Elite accelerator with physicality and foot quickness. Unfair ability to change gears. Competent vision and runs to daylight. Lateral agility and change of direction is top tier.

Tough and elusive in tight quarters with core strength. Underutilized ball skills and has the ability to be an asset in the pass game. Sound pass pro blocker. Angry runner that finishes runs.

Walker's not exactly a pretty runner, with his upright style and lack of ideal balance, but his vision, burst/speed and cod are ideal for game changing chunk plays.

Weaknesses:

Bit of a one year wonder. Can stray from ideal body lean and present an easy target. Tight hipped, balance isn't always ideal and he can run aground.

Overall:

Walker hits the gas better than any RB in this class. He can counter that with moments of patience that turn him into a demon. He's a dialed up, rare talent that can carry an offense.

Transferred from a Wake scheme that scheduled up patience after the snap to a downhill hit it and go, and he exploded. That said, for as talented as he is he can get over his skates and lose balance.

And despite his flashes of power, his higher than ideal body lean and hip tightness can result in solo stops. Shows soft hands and looked adept catching the ball in combine drills after just 19 career receptions. Competent pass pro blocker with plenty experience.

As a size, speed guy with soft hands that isn't a smooth runner but utilizes speed, cod and vision, Walker's run style is reminiscent of Ole Miss/Saints great Deuce McAllister, albeit a few inches shorter.

NFL Comp: 5'9 Deuce McAllister
