"A fire plug that comes off the ball with burst and power but his athleticism doesn't readily translate into the open field"
Strengths:
Powerful fire plug that comes off the ball with burst, leverage and power. Impressive first step, gets under his guy and into the backfield consistently.
One of the strongest guys in this class, stout at the point and handles doubles adequately.
Weaknesses:
Motor burns out pretty quickly. Especially limited range and struggles to finish after his solid surge. Hand work is sub par and he doesn't free up to make plays. One year wonder.
Overall:
Marshall routinely fires off the ball with quickness and power. He collapses the pocket in his surge but doesn't do anything thereafter. His hand work to shed is lacking.
Reportedly a good athlete ( ran as low as a 4.75 at his pro day) but it doesn't necessarily translate into the open field. Pursuit is a chore and he can get shook in tight spaces. He's a two down guy unless he learns to get free up faster and better utilize his athleticism.
