Jhamon Ausbon Scouting Profile

"6'2 220 guy with light feet, cod and strong ball skills, but runs an especially limited route tree and had mediocre production."

Strengths:

Good sized WR with light feet and impressive ball skills. Wins in traffic. Can extend for or dig out bad balls. Decent burst with an extra gear downfield.

Sudden and physical off the line. Credible blocker. Impressive stop/start and change of direction for a 215+ receiver.

Ausbon's a raw route runner but his cod and quick feet are impressive. This jerk move was a favorite of his and he beat just about everyone with it.

Ausbon's a 50/50 guy with good ball skills at the catch point.

Weaknesses:

Especially limited route tree. Has gears but not outright downfield speed. Not a talented yac threat despite good tools.

Overall:

Ausbon was poised for a breakout season imo but opted out. He's an especially raw route runner at this point and a considerable project because of it. But his physical tools and ball skills are top of the draft caliber. He's a 6'2 220 guy with light feet, cod and strong ball skills.
