Fluid cornerback with a safety mentality. Sudden, loose hipped and capable in coverage. Flies up, flashes natural leverage on collisions and is generally a reliable tackler.
Fierce blitzer and adept in the box despite his size. Experienced single high defender. Electric with the ball in his hands and a pick six threat.
Weaknesses:
False steps and shows inconsistent anticipation. Size limited in coverage and gets big boy'd. Minimal on ball playmaking over his career. Often a business decision tackler.
Overall:
Robinson is a heady cornerback turned safety that flashes sudden mobility and versatility. He's a capable last line of defense defender with experience as a deep field safety but also flashes adept ability up in the box.
He typically shows leverage pop as a tackler and brings more sand than it appears he should. That said, he's still pint size for a box safety and occasionally plays like it. He can be outsized by receivers and run through by physical runners.
