"Gamebreaking linear speed receiver with toughness. Downside is that he lacks fluidity and lets tactile bullies disrupt his route"
Strengths:
Gamebreaking linear speed receiver with toughness. Solid foot quickness and flashes strength to defeat press. Good ball skills with a wide catch radius.
Employs gears and difficult to hang with in space. flashes ability to win at the catch point and in contested situations. Skip a beat return man.
Weaknesses:
Linear, high cut, athlete and doesn't transition in and out of breaks nearly as well as he just straight runs. Inconsistent playing through contact.
One year wonder. Blew his knee in the championship game.
Overall:
Williams had a breakout year transferring from Ohio State, displaying game breaking speed that college corners struggled to hang with. He's tall and physical along with that speed, and he flashes the ability to beat the press.
He has solid ball skills with a wide catch radius and is capable of acrobatic grabs. That said, he's high cut and doesn't sink in and out of breaks fluidly. And while he's physical, his rail frame allows stronger defenders to disrupt his route and challenge at the catch point
