Strengths:
Strong point of attack guy with quickness and balance. Sheds well and can accelerate through his arc. Adept technician with his hands with punch power. Burly strong with deceptive quickness. Solid awareness in space with adequate open field mobility. Motor is always turned up.
Weaknesses:
Just an adequate overall athlete. Lacks fluidity and speed. Can get plastered to blocks by technicians. Not a powerhouse anchor at the point and can get displaced by power.
Overall:
Karlaftis has been a productive, stand out guy since his true freshman season and has done it by being physically more dominant than the guy in front of him. Although he's bullied his way into the backfield he also employs deceptive short area quickness, hand technique,counters and rush moves. His athleticism isn't special and he'll need to rely more on technique and strength to translate success.
