"Highly athletic, complete TE, that probably carries more upside than any other at his position in this class, but he's a one year wonder with a fair amount of risk/reward"
Strengths:
Jumps off the line into his route. Threatens the seam with good speed. Light quick feet and changes direction well. Solid hands and can make the acrobatic catch. Flashes yac potential.
Competent blocker that gets movement in line and stalks well on the move. Decent technique, moves feet, and can switch off quickly. Finds targets in the open field.
Asiasi's strong ball skills, light feet out of his stem and initial quickness into his route, stand out on this series of plays
Asiasi flashes quick hands and nice mobility as he picks off the corner on this screen with a dirty stiff arm
Weaknesses:
Not a bully as a blocker. Inconsistent in traffic. One year wonder. Fat potential.
Overall:
Asiasi's just scratching the surface after a breakout year with the Bruins. Offers potential as a complete TE with blocking chops to go along with legitimate athletic ability.
He's shown a good catch radius with sticky hands and just the occasional concentration lapse in traffic. Asiasi probably carries more upside than any TE in this class but he's a one year wonder with a fair amount of risk/reward.
Alge Crumpler's a popular and appropriate comp but I'll go more conservative and say Asiasi reminds me of faster Queen's NY, and Jet, Chris Baker.
