Strengths:
Versatile, durable back with few weaknesses. Shifty but efficient. Good contact balance. Constantly good vision. Falls forward and gets the most out of each carry.
Can hammer and get tough yards. Solid in pass pro. Solid, experienced receiver out of the backfield. Has experience as a returner.
Weaknesses:
Lacks explosiveness. Just adequate burst and doesn't have a second gear.
Overall:
Gaskins has been extremely productive and reliable for the Huskies finishing as the school's all time leading rusher. He's a rocked up little runner and legit 3 down back.
He's a plugger but lacks top tier explosiveness. He's tough but not precisely a power back. His success will hinge on how adept his burst is at the next level.
Vision & burst will make up for a lot. I think Gaskins could be a later round steal in the right opportunity.
