"Brute off the ball with quickness and rare finishing ability, but also essentially a one year wonder."
Strengths:
Brute off the ball with quickness. Holds vs the double at the point. Often vicious with his hands, keeps free and generally disengages quickly. Stacks and tracks with solid mobility. Often the first off the ball and diagnoses quickly.
Solid lateral mobility and can regularly beat his opponent in tight spaces. Closes fast and has range. Impressive finisher for an interior DL that can anticipate ball carriers and break down in space.
Weaknesses:
Bit of a tweener and lean for an interior tackle. Can get high and inefficient. Utilized more strength and athletic ability than technique. Remains raw and mostly a one year wonder.
Overall:
Williams wins with initial quickness and finishes with power. Rarely takes false steps and has big time body control for a big guy.
He's essentially a squeezed down power end and has the range and motor to disrupt all over the field. He's not always technically sound but he's naturally stout and powerful despite being a little undersized.
Georgia's physical line forced him down to earth in the SEC championship after a dominating year but he still flashed the explosion into the backfield that made him the nation's best DL last season.
