Jaire Alexander Scouting Report

"Alexander disappeared his junior year because of a sprained knee and broken hand but he showed out at the combine and looked like the most fluid and precise defensive back there."

Strengths:

Elite mobility and mirrors well. Great ball skills and quick hands. Good awareness. Plays fast but under control. Good body control with loose hips and little wasted movement. Playmaker who finds the ball and can makes plays with it in his hand.

Small stature but long limbed and plays bigger. Aggressive little tackler who will pop you. Big time, dangerous kick returner with vision and homerun speed.

Weaknesses:

Small and can get big boyed. Numerous nagging injuries to his knee and hand derailed his junior season. Carries injury concern from that missed time although looked great and healthy at the combine.

Overall:

Alexander disappeared his junior year because of a sprained knee and broken hand but he showed out at the combine where he looked like the most fluid and precise defensive back there.

He goes after the ball like a WR and has the athleticism to mirror anyone. He's aggressive in run support despite size and shows up there. He's potentially a big time punt returner as well. Jaire's a 1st round talent with size and durability being the only drawbacks.
