Ball skills are lacking. Solid height but carries a slight frame. Experienced but can be fooled, caught looking or take false steps. Generally sure but let's a tackle or two leak.
Overall
Thompson is an experienced FS type that can make plays and tackles on the ball in bunches. I expected a breakout season his junior year but it didn't quite happen. Ball skills aren't strong but he's fast and aggressive. Undersized at the moment but he should get stronger. An underrated DB in this deep class.
