"One year wonder with physical traits that offset his rawness and lack of technique. He's a grinder with upside."
Fast, physical rusher with a forever motor and fiery demeanor. Changes directions particularly well and can close sideline to sideline. Long arms and flashes ragdoll ability.
Fluid and can bend around the edge. Often plays bigger than his listed size. Solid run defender generally who can set the edge and sticks inside gaps. Role model character and has overcome crushing obstacles in his life.
Often too upright and can lose balance. Gets stuck in trash. Doesn't always use long arms and strong hands and sticks to the block. Essentially a one year wonder that lacks refinement.
High character guy that grinds. A forever motor on the field and high end physical traits offset his rawness or lack of technique. Reminds me a lot of Jabaal Sheard. Has the frame and athletic ability of a hybrid guy but possesses the strength to hold up at the point.
UCLA vs Utah and Garett Bolles tells you everything you need to know about McKinley and was probably my most fun game to watch last year. He won and lost but it was a great showcase for both prospects.
