Weeks 3 - 8 players that have flashed to me and ought to be on everyone's watch list.
QB Joe Burrow
No QB in the nation has played as well or looked as NFL ready as Burrow at the mid point. Essentially demonstrating zero weaknesses which is causing evaluators to question why he hasn't always looked this good.
QB Tua Tagovailoa
The projected headliner to this class has played as expected. Top shelf accuracy, poise and consistency are on display but unfortunately so are the recurring injuries.
WR Sage Surratt
Surratt has had several massive games this season where he shown dominating size, ball skills and more wiggle than expected. He's a sure handed size receiver with solid open field running skills that's been feasting within a good Demon Deacons' spread offense. He's a Jordan Matthews-esque guy who's draft stock will be determined by how explosive he tests.
OT Stone Forsythe
Florida's LT has prototype size and athletic ability but may be more suited for the right side as a pro. He's held up reasonable well on the strength side but doesn't have the feet to stay with exceptional rushers on the edge.
WR Gabe Davis
Footwork, size and hands are pushing Davis up the draft boards. Another good sized guy that shift gears expertly and is already showing pro footwork. His overall athletic ability is the only question mark.
DE Patrick Jones
Jones jumps off the film for the Panthers' defense in this breakout year for the Jr. The hybrid DE should be in the conversion of the best edge prospects after Chase Young.
DT Carlos Davis
Davis hasn't garnered much attention yet but I've been really impressed by the consistent power he shown at the poa this year. He generally too much to handle at the point although he's rarely finding the ball after that.
LB Kenneth Murray
Murray's doing a Jaylon Smith impersonation this season. Adept in multiple areas and looks like the top LB prospect by far this season.
S Greg Eisworth
I was late on Eisworth but I've been impressed with the film as watched thus far. Physical and versatile, Eisworth is a solid open field tackler and fills the lane like a LB when needed.
LB Chazz Surratt
Between the two, Sage's brother has arguably been even more impressive this season. He's racked monster production leading the Tar Heel defense and shows up as a playmaker on every level of the field. Squarely in the discussion as the best off ball LB prospect in this class.
