"Man among boys guy whose combination of strength, ball skills, and deceptive quickness was too much for college corners."
Man among boys guy with burst and elite ball skills. Impressive lateral quickness, strength and savvy on his releases. Consistently changes gears on corners and separates. Can get to top speed in a blink and has the strength to maintain that speed.
Runs away from guys in the open field despite not being a true burner. Subtlety bullies opponents and wins contested situations. Physical runner and can be a difficult tackle. Works as a blocker.
Lacks true burner speed and it could be more of a factor as a pro. Deceptive quickness but not especially explosive. Pad level is high and makes him easier to tackle in yac situations.
Chase was a near impossible cover at LSU. His combination of strength, ball skills, and deceptive quickness was too much for almost all college corners. He can get to his top speed quickly and makes it hard to anticipate his movements.
Strong hands and makes acrobatic adjustments to the ball. On the move he's a breakaway threat. All that said, he won't have quite the physical advantage as a pro and could come down to Earth somewhat.
