College Week 12 Standouts

OT Kolton Miller, UCLA Reports before the USC vs UCLA game suggested Miller would leave early and enter the draft. Based on his performance that seems like a wise move. I've been a little late to the party on Miller but I was greatly impressed with him this game and this season. He fires out of his stance with good speed and leverage. He's quick into the 2nd level, on pulls and can find a moving target. Terrific feet in his pass set and stays balanced. Like most young OL, strength is going to be his initial weakness coming out; especially out of UCLA. But he looks like the best overall OT to me in a weak year. QB Kurt Benkert, Virginia Unheralded senior prospect Benkert put on a performance

College Week 11 Standouts

RB Rodney Anderson, Oklahoma Anderson debuted in the TD rankings a couple weeks back at #10 out of 25. Despite sharing snaps I thought his size/speed plus vision was special. But he exploded onto the national scene vs TCU with 151yds on the ground, 139 thru the air and 4 TDs. Only a RSSoph but he's one of the most talented RBs in the nation. DE Zach Allen, Boston College I caught up with Allen's tape this week and was real impressed with him vs NC State. He's an NFL caliber athletic 5 tech type with a motor. He overwhelms and finishes consistently. Here he discards solid LT T.J. Jones pretty quickly. And here he stacks and sheds beautifully to get at the RB. I'm still particularly high on hi

College Week 10 Standouts

QB Jarrett Stidham, Auburn Stidham had the best game of his career in the win vs A&M on Saturday. His deep ball accuracy and overall accuracy was eye popping. He's always had good physical tools...strong arm and running ability..but he's becoming a more poised and accurate thrower this year. Only a RS Soph so he's likely returning next year but he'll be squarely in the discussion for the #1 QB in 19'. S Mike Edwards, Kentucky Edwards isn't the biggest or flashiest guy but he's steady and athletic. He's fast, changes directions well, can man cover and is a secure tackler; he leads Kentucky in tackles this year. The only knock right now is that he basically lacks sand in his pants when he come

College Week 9 Football Standouts

OLB/DE Josh Allen, Kentucky There's another Josh Allen in the country that's actually rising up boards not slipping down them. Allen's thin but has a great frame and athleticism. He's shown leverage at the poa, burst and range. He's natural playing in space or at the los. He showed up in the Wildcats win vs Tenn Saturday with 7 tackles, a tfl and half a sack. Here he beats Drew Coleman on 3rd down. The only knock Ive seen is that he appears gassed after 3 or 4 consecutive plays and can't run anymore. I'm figuring that's a conditioning thing rather than a lack of speed. WR Darrell Stewart Jr, Michigan St The trio of spartan WRs, FR Cody White, JR Felton Davis and RSoph Stewart are shining thi
